10 Pizza Places In NEPA That Are Worth The Wait
Best Pizza in Scranton, PA
One of the great traditions in Northeastern Pennsylvania is to enjoy a “tray” of pizza from one of the numerous establishments around the valley. I simply love NEPA for the number of pizza choices available! Whether you like more cheese than sauce or more sauce than cheese, there’s something for everyone. The sky’s the limit (or close to it) with options that are either available for purchase or a new flavor yet to be unearthed. So, what’s the best pizza in Scranton, PA?
It’s not as simple as it sounds to choose your cheese, sauce, crust, and toppings. Award-winning flavors beyond NEPA prove there’s more pizza to be discovered.
I write this post from the focal point of our pizza region, Old Forge. In fact, I’m craving a slice, even though my belly is full. The pizza industry in NEPA has never been as strong as it is today. Hopefully, ingenuity and passion will continue to boost our local pizza fame.
Just in the last few years, some notorious people, including Dr. Oz and Donald Trump, have stopped by for a slice or more. And while there’s a rivalry between Scranton and Old Forge as to who’s the best — Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and pizza aficionado, made it clear when he visited NEPA pizza businesses — that some of the best pizza in the region goes well beyond these two towns.

What Are Our Favorite Pizzas in Scranton, PA?
Our favorite local pizza destination isn’t in Scranton. And it’s not on Main Avenue, Old Forge (though we have a satellite office there). Our favorite spot is actually “pizza row” on Wyoming Avenue in West Pittston/Exeter/Wyoming. We challenge anyone to find four pizza establishments on the same street in NEPA that are this good: Luca Pizza, Pizza L’Oven, Sabatini’s Pizza, and Togoz Pizza.
Honorable Mentions
Togoz Pizza
