Realty Network Group is committed to providing a fully-accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web. It’s imperative, in our industry, that we offer our services, to everyone. Digital accessibility is another stride in that direction.
In 2020, web accessibility was a step we took to ensure we were not only compliant in our industry, but also ready to meet the challenges our users encountered online. We’re dedicated to maintaining an accessible website. In fact, years ago, our firm was the first real estate company in Northeastern Pennsylvania to deploy it.
Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 as our guiding principle for determining accessibility. These are internationally agreed-upon standards that cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content useable. As we add new pages and functionality to our website, all designs, code and content entry practices are checked against these standards.
Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and remediate any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. Testing of our website is performed using industry-standard tools such as the Accessibility Checker WordPress Plugin, color contrast analyzers and keyboard-only navigation techniques.
We respect the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities and therefore we strive to provide a website that will remove barriers for full access to our listings, services and other resources. Our policies ensure we provide goods and services to each and every customer in a manner consistent with our mission. Part of our commitment is ensuring the digital accessibility of our website to all users of all abilities.

- Elimination of blinking or scrolling text
- Sufficient color contrast throughout much of our site
- Proper H-tags in place
- Reduction of duplicate alt tags and missing alt tags
Where We’re Improving
In our efforts to bring our website up to standard, we are targeting the following areas:
- Ambiguous anchor text
- Linked images with empty alternative text
- Incorrect heading order
- Insufficient color contrast
